Sad--bye bye Miss Blackberry Pie.
We've been hitting the selling pretty hard the last couple of months. I found a new fishing hole that wasn't totally picked over...we've been exploring the world of glass lately and I wanted to go and see if I could pick up a few pieces. Came up empty on any glass ware but came back with a couple of textbooks, a phillies bobblehead thingy, and a Opus N Bill cup as well as a Lewis & Clark Puzzle...here are a couple of tips--be sure to open puzzle boxes and smell them--also when you are thrifting look for boxes--I have great luck picking up collectibles new in the box because they have been overlooked as no one opened the box.

a not so manic monday
We didn't do much ebaying this weekend--the weather was bellisimo!!!! I love this time of year when we don't have to worry about skeeters and flies coming in the open sliding glass door. We spring cleaned the deck, patio, and garage--went to one measly yard sale. Also stopped by the used book store and picked up a few Nona Hengen softcover books from the $1 bargain shelf. I had never heard of her--but in one of the books was a newspaper clippping. She is a localish author who lives in Spangle in the family farmhouse. The illustrations are wonderful and the more I looked up about her the more I realized I've seen a couple of her books from time to time. One of the ones I picked up is selling for 51 smackaroos on Amazon. I'm not very ready to part with it yet, I am going to spend a Sunday afternooon reading through the babies in the very near future.

North of Forty
Yard saled Satiday--the first one was a sad little affair, I bought a microfiber duster for .75 to be perlite. I ended with a couple of bangs--an estate sale that I thought I was late getting to and a moving sale. Some where in the middle I picked up a couple of small civil war portraits in small wooden cases and a presciption box from a Cashmere, Wa pharmacy dated in 1910 for some worming medication for someone named Parker.
