Spring Estate Sale~Saturday

Went to a pretty good estate sale--there was a lot of Roseville and Hull--nothing out of the ordinary, however there was some wonderful other small finds to be had. My favorite part of the sale was sharing a kindred moment over some "Cougar Beverage" Bottles with a girl who had her hair pulled back with a blue handkerchief. My favorite find was a blue collectible tin in the shape of an elephant. Cool beans.

A round with strep throat~

Well, thank goodness I didn't turn off the TV yet--although our Cougs and the Boy Zags are done for the season. Anyway, I went down the Columbia River Gorge to visit my mom over Spring Break and came back with a miz-erable sore throat. Visited a couple of great consignment stores in Goldendale, WA: Annie's Corner Closet and Amy's Attic. Also went to an estate sale in Trout Lake, WA.  Came back with a few treasures for the house and a few treasures to sell.

 

 

 

Worth The Drive-4 Miles Up 4 Mile Road

So, I was jonesing for a yard sale...it's too cold yet for there to be very many, the only one advertised said it was "worth the drive". It was.

I didn't buy the bus.

Tis the season for those blasted Cadbury mini eggs! Just say okay, maybe one.

The Madness of March

It's kinda funny browsing thrift stores--I always see stuff like headless duck figurines and one eyed ceramic penguins. Who donates this stuff? When in doubt throw it out--however it would make a cool avant garde display if you bought a buncha of the fabulous merchandise. Here at Pickledaisy we are looking forward to the Oscars and then we will be turning of the television for the summer. Weighing the household budget against the siren call of HBO; March Madness; and Jane Austen/Cranford stuff on Masterpiece Theatre always cause a bit of agony.
